Septic Pumping
Trained & Certified for Your Safety
As a Certified Septic Maintainer, Advantage Septic & Drain performs cleaning and pumping of septic tanks, holding tanks and lift stations. Our operators are septic system pumping specialists who are thoroughly trained to care for your septic system. We work under the strict handling and disposal safety standards set forth by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency.
Maintain Proper Balance
A septic tank is designed to dispose of bath water, human waste and toilet tissue. When you dump other items down drains or toilets, the beneficial waste-digesting bacteria in your septic system can become unbalanced, making frequent pump outs necessary and shortening the life of the system. Septic tanks have a hard time processing uneaten food. Harmful chemicals (such as paint thinners, motor oil or pesticides) and non-soluble items (like diapers, feminine products, cigarette butts or kitty litter) should never be flushed down the toilet.
Proper septic care and maintenance starts with regular pumping and grease trap cleaning. Our operators will agitate and/or back flush the septic tank, making sure the tank is as clean as possible. Septic maintenance should occur every 1-3 years, depending upon the family size and use of the septic system. We recommend this time frame to minimize the risk of damage to your drain field. Because no one wants their yard torn up, we own a 4,000-gallon capacity truck with 185 feet of hose, which makes us very lawn friendly. Unlike some of our competitors, we don’t charge for the use of extra hose!
